Calling all schools and organisations who are actively engaged in Project Earth.
We want to acknowledge your commitment to Project Earth and ensure we are supporting you on your project Earth journey by awarding you as a Climate Innovation Centre.
You can now register to be a Climate Innovation Centre by completing the form blow. Successful applicants will receive a certificate to display to recognise your commitment and the brilliant work your young people are involved in. We will also regularly update you on Project Earth opportunities and events.
To be recognised as a Project Earth Climate Innovation Centre,
organisations should demonstrate the following:

Shared values and commitment
Support Project Earth’s aims, objectives & vision for a more sustainable future.
Encourage young people to explore creative solutions to climate and environmental challenges.
Promote environmental responsibility and sustainable practices within the school or group.
Provide opportunities for young people to talk about and manage climate-related worries in a supportive environment.

Active participation
Give young people opportunities to take part in climate innovation projects, either through the curriculum, extracurricular activities or additional learning.
Encourage young people to develop their own ideas and solutions to environmental challenges.
Work with Project Earth where appropriate to access technical guidance, resources and support.

Safeguarding and safety
Meet all relevant safeguarding, child-protection, health and safety requirements.
Ensure activities involving young people are planned and delivered in a safe, inclusive and supportive way.
Follow appropriate safeguarding procedures when working with Project Earth and its partners.

A dedicated contact person
Nominate a member of staff or group leader as the main contact for Project Earth.
Help coordinate projects, activities and communications between the organisation and Project Earth.
Support young people to take part in agreed activities and help ensure commitments are followed through.

Education and awareness
Create opportunities for young people and the wider community to learn about climate change, environmental issues and sustainability.
Encourage young people to share their ideas, learning and experiences with others.
Provide opportunities for young people to showcase the climate innovations and solutions they have developed.
Annual Accreditation
Accreditation is required annually, with recognition progressing through three levels:
Year 1: Bronze Accreditation Year 2: Silver Accreditation Year 3: Gold Accreditation
Each level represents the successful completion of the annual accreditation requirements.
