Project Earth

Introducing Scout AI

by Becky Parker

Scout AI

Project Earth’s Scout, our bespoke AI guide, will launch before Christmas, transforming Climate Anxiety into Climate Leadership.

This revolutionary chatbot will help and support young innovators aged 13-18 to develop real-world climate solutions through guided inquiry.

Project Earth believes that young people are not future leaders, they are leaders now.  They produce ideas that are bold, practical and transformative.  Scout is a game changing assistant that helps students refine ideas, test assumptions, and encourages independence without removing ownership.

Unlike AI tools that do work for students, Scout builds their capability to think critically and solve problems independently. The system guides young people through Project Earth’s five-stage innovation framework – from initial idea to final presentation – adapting its approach based on age and maintaining conversation memory across sessions.

Scout will be freely available to Project Earth participants worldwide with no cost to access. The program supports projects at every scale – from individual to school initiatives to innovations with international reach. It responds in the language needed.

“We’re building the AI tool we wish existed – one that respects student agency, protects their learning, and never compromises education for convenience,”

Chris Bush, Scout’s lead developer
