I did my DPhil in Astronomy, supervised by Professor Matt Jarvis, at Lincoln College, University of Oxford. I then was a postdoc and subsequently Hintze Research Fellow in the Department, working on a range of topics in astrophysics and cosmology, as well as projects in machine learning, nuclear fusion, laboratory astrophysics, science education and SETI. Besides my research, I have been involved in a wide variety of outreach and school research projects.
As a school student I led a team which put a cosmic ray detector (Langton Ultimate Cosmic ray Intensity Detector LUCID) into space. It used CERN Timepix chips from the Medipix collaboration, and was launched into Low Earth Orbit on TechDemoSat-1. We published our results in Advances in Space Research https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0273117718308330
