Professor Sylvia Knight is the Royal Meteorological Society’s Head of Education.
With a background in natural sciences and atmospheric climate research, Sylvia has supported weather and climate teaching in UK schools for most of this millennium. She is a visiting Professor in the University of Reading’s School of Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences, and the Institute of Education.
Prof Knight is also part of the working group for the University of Reading’s Climate Education Action Plan, and aims to support teachers of all subjects to use the opportunities within the current curricula and exam specifications to teach climate change.
