Nana Minta Asiedu Ampadu-Minta is a strategic leader in social impact, youth development, and climate leadership, with a strong foundation in Environmental Science. His expertise spans circular economy, climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience, driving meaningful change toward a sustainable future.
With over six years of experience in youth empowerment and program management, he has played a key role in mobilizing young people across Africa to take action on climate and environmental polycrisis. As the former Manager of GAYO Eco-Clubs, he built a network of over 10,000 students across 40 tertiary institutions in Africa, fostering environmental leadership and bridging the continent’s workforce gap through skills development and institutional collaboration.
Nana Minta also plays a pivotal role in advancing research, advocacy, and global climate action. He is the Research and Development Program Manager at YouthClimate Connect, Senior Ambassador at Break Free From Plastic, and Youth Leader at Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives (GAIA) Africa, where he drives strategic initiatives on waste management, plastic pollution, and circular economy solutions. Additionally, he is a Circular Carbon Africa Fellow and a member of the Africa Zero Waste Alliance, actively contributing to policy-driven change and sustainable development across the continent.
Now serving as Chief of Staff at Green Africa Youth Organisation (GAYO), he leads strategic coordination, governance, and high-impact partnerships, ensuring that Africa’s youth remain at the forefront of sustainability and climate action. Through his leadership, he continues to shape the next generation of environmental changemakers and drive systemic solutions for a resilient and zero-waste future.
