After getting his PhD in epigenetics, exploring how environmental factors can affect our DNA and in turn our health and wellbeing, Paul met co-founder Dr. Jens Thomas and shortly thereafter, Farm Urban was born.
Farm Urban was born in 2013, aiming to find healthier and more sustainable solutions to the broken food system. In the early days it focussed on developing and installing small scale urban farming systems across the city of Liverpool. They used these systems to engage communities and help people to grow fresh nutritious food locally.
Vertical farming offers a way to grow fresh produce locally, guaranteeing quality, consistency and availability all year round.
Paul is managing director of Farm Urban, building new stakeholder relationships, working with investors and helping to grow the business and impact and share their story.
