Dr Anna Watson is Event Director at Innovation Zero, the UK’s largest climate innovation event, where she leads the development of the Energy & Grid and Innovation Showcase programmes. She is the founder of Emergence Consulting, a research and strategy consultancy supporting organisations working on climate innovation, communications and product development.
Anna has over 15 years of experience working across climate startups, research institutions and international climate initiatives, specialising in market research, stakeholder engagement and translating complex climate topics into clear narratives. Previous roles include Carbon & Content Lead at Toucan Protocol, a Series A start-up using blockchain to increase carbon market accountability, and completing projects for UK Research and Innovation, the World Green Building Council and HBAR Foundation.
Earlier in her career she produced major international climate and clean energy conferences, including leading private-sector engagement at COP21 in Paris and launching the Sustainable Investment Forum at Climate Week New York. Anna holds a PhD in Science, Technology and Innovation Policy from the University of Sussex, focused on accelerating low-carbon innovation.
